If you’re considering applying for an Australian visa under the SkillSelect program you might need to fulfil the points test.
There’re three visas for which you will need to fulfil the points test and they are:
- the skilled independent
- the skilled nominated and
- the skilled regional visa
For you to be granted a visa you will need to have at least 60 points.
You can receive points for:
- Your age
- Your English language ability
- Your employment
- Your study in Australia
- Your Partner skills and more…

Age
Although you can apply for a visa from the age of 18 to the age of 45
- If you are between 18 and 24 years of age you will be awarded 25 points
- If you are between 25 and 32 years of age you will be awarded 30 points
- If you are between 33 and 39 years of age you will be awarded 25 points and
- If you are between 40 and 44 years of age you will be awarded 15 points
