The eVisitor Visa is intended for a short-term visit to Australia of 3 months. You may travel to Australia for a holiday, to visit family and friends or for short-term business purposes.
To be eligible for this Visa, you must:
- apply while you are outside Australia
- hold a passport from an eligible country
The eVisitor Visa is issued electronically by a computer system and there is no need for a stamp or label in your passport. Your eVisitor Visa is linked to the passport number you used in your application and you must use the same passport to travel to Australia.
The eVisitor Visa is valid for multiple visits within 12 months from the date of issue or until your passport expires.
While you are in Australia you can:
- Visit family and friends.
- Engage in tourist activities.
- Engage in short term business ventures.
- Study for up to 3 months.
