The SkillSelect Visa, is an online service brought in by the Australian government, allowing skilled workers into the country.
This program helps the country better able to understand the economic requirements, skill shortages, and regional shortages throughout Australia.

Limit of EOI’s Granted (Occupational Ceilings)
Based on Australia’s economic situation, resources are sourced through this program.
Once the required jobs are filled, there will be no more migration for that particular skill.
These are known as occupational ceilings, limiting only the amount of EOI’s that are required by the country at a specific given time.
Invitations will no longer be granted, for that particular Skilled Occupational group.
The Australian Department of Immigration set these limits.
