With a Tourist Visa (Subclass 600) you can travel to Australia for a holiday, to visit family and friends or to undertake informal studies or training.
You must not be visiting Australia for business purposes or medical treatment.
To be eligible for this Visa, you must:
- be a genuine visitor
- have access to sufficient funds to cover all of your costs for the duration of your stay
This Visa will allow you either a single or multiple entry to Australia for a stay period of up to 3, 6 or 12 months.
The period of stay and number of entries granted will depend on the purpose of the visit and your personal circumstances.
While you are in Australia you can:
- Visit family and friends
- Engage in tourist activities
- Study for up to 3 months
